Active Acquires Public Enterprise Group

San Diego-based The Active Network said this week that it has acquired Public Enterirse Group, a Huntington Beach-based developer of municipal marketing partnerships. Active, which provides application and marketing services for community service, said that the acquisition would create new revenue and service opportunities for the company in the public and private sectors. Active Network provides registration services, community pages, member management, fundraising, and other services to nonprofits and community sports organizations. The acquisition of Public Enterprise Group moves the company further into targeting government agencies and public access services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
