Linspire Gets Windows Gaming Technology
San Diego-based Linspire and Tornoto-based TransGaming said this week that the companies have released new technology that allows gamers to play Microsoft Windows games on Desktop Linux. TransGaming's Cedega for the Linspire desktop Linux operating system allows users to run popular Microsoft Windows-based games on the desktop Linux distribution. The TransGaming service requires a subscription. TransGaming's technology provides APIs and dynamic linking of Windows code to Linux equivalents.
