MovieTickets.com, IMAX In Partnership

Los Angeles-based MovieTickets.com and IMAX said this morning that the two companies have entered into a marketing partnership to provide online ticketing for IMAX properties. MovieTickets.com, which provides online movie ticketing services, and IMAX, the large format theatre operator, said that MovieTickets.com will help to promote awareness of Hollywood event films available in IMAX format. The ticketing service will be available through the IMAX web site and linked into a co-branded MovieTickets.com site. In addition, MovieTickets.com will include information about The IMAX Experience, showtimes, and tickets. MovieTickets.com is a joint venture between AMC Entertainment, Hollywood Media Corp., National Amusements, Famous Players, Marcus Theatres, Viacom, and America Online.
