Semtech Adds Mini Battery Charger Components

Camarillo-based semiconductor supplier Semtech Corp. said this week that it has debuted a new line of miniature battery chargers for the consumer electronics market. The company's new SC805 and SC806 ultra-small battery charger devices are targeted at the portable electronic, personal media devices, and mobile phone market. The chargers provide charging capability for lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries and are included in manufacturer designs for rechargeable devices. The components also support charging of Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel-Metal-Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
