X1 Adds VP Sales

Pasadena-based X1 Technologies announced yesterday that it has added George B. Homes as VP of Sales. Holmes was most recently a management consultant in the publishing and private equity markets. He also served as VP North America for semiconductor firm Agere Systems, and managed the North American sales team and channel strategy. X1 develops enterprise and desktop search software, used to search email and desktop machines for information. The company's software is being used by Yahoo to power Yahoo Desktop Search.
