    DTS Launches New HD DVD Format


    Agoura Hills-based DTS is launching its new HD DVD audio format, DTS-HD Master Audio at CES tomorrow. The company said that its format supports high definition video and 7 channels of high definition surround sound audio, and is a key part of next generation HD DVD and Blue-ray format. The company said that it will hold a launch event tomorrow with ICE-T and drummer Omar Hakim to demonstrate and launch the format. DTS is a provider of sound and digital systems targeted at the home and theater markets.
