Arrowhead Gets Private Placement

Pasadena-based Arrowhead Research, which is publicly listed on the NASDAQ as ARWR, said today that it has received a $19.6M investment from York Capital Management and Knott Partners. The firm said that it sold 5,590,000 shares of restricted common stock to the firms, in order to accelerate its growth in the nanotechnology area. Arrowhead is developing nanotech-related technology that it licenses from education institutions.
