Veoh Rolls Out Web-based Video Sharing

San Diego-based Veoh Networks has rolled out a new, web-based video peer-to-peer video sharing network, putting the company up against companies like YouTube and iFilm. Veoh's 2.0 release allows users to post their videos online, viewable from any browser. The new release removes the company's previous need to download a separate application to view its videos, which feature full-screen, TV-quality video. The company said that the new version of Veoh supports linking and embedding of videos in web sitse and blogs, features subscription features, ratings, and connects to systems such as Apple's Front Row and Microsoft Windows Media Center.
