    Disney Goes Mobile With Pirates

North Hollywood-based mDisney, Walt Disney's mobile publishing unit, said yesterday that it is offering a new, real-time multiplayer application for mobile handsets. The company is offering a version of Pirates of the Caribbean MultiPlayer, a multi-player game for mobile phones. The new game is being launched in conjunction with Disney's upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film in July. The firm said that a beta of the game will be available for beta testing by end users this month. Disney is tapping mobile game developer Floodgate Entertainment to develop the game. Disney also has an online, massively multiplayer role playing game (MMORPG) set to release next year around the same film.
