Boost Ties Into Online IM

Irvine-based Boost Mobile has tied into AOL, MSN, and Yahoo with its latest instant messaging features. Customers of Boost can now instant message from their cell phones directly to AOL, MSN, or Yahoo instant messaging services. Also, instant messages sent to those users will show up on the cell phone as a text message. The firm, which is a division of Sprint Nextel, provides a youth-oriented, pay-as-you-go cell phone service.
