Palomar Adds Partners, Invests in Zannel

Santa Monica-based Palomar Ventures has added two partners to the venture capital firm. Palomar said yesterday that it promoted Brian Garrett to partner, and added Kevin Jacques as a new partner. As part of the announcement, Palomar also mentioned that the firm invested in San Francisco-based Zannel, a stealth mode startup, a "multimodal social entertainment network". Garrett has been at Palomar since 2001, where he started as an associate. He has been a Principal at the firm since 2003. Jacques was most recently at Sevin Rosen Funds, and also has served as CEO of GlobeRanger. Palomar makes early stage information technology investments.
