DataDirect Debuts New Storage System

Los Angeles-based DataDirect Networks, a provider of high performance storage systems for the high performance computing (HPC) and other markets, said last week that it has unviled its newest storage system. The firm's new S2A9550 provides up to 3 GB/s of performance and capacities of up to 56TB in a single storage system. DataDirect's systems are optimized for sustained performance required for high performance server clusters. The new system supports both Fibre Channel and SATA disk drives.
