First American Buys MLS Software Provider

Santa Ana-based First American Corporation, a provider of business information, said Monday that it has acquired Offutt Systems, a Greensboro, North Carolina provider of multiple listing service (MLS) solutions. Offutt develops technology used for the small-to-medium MLS, real estate market. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. MLS software is used to provide real estate associations with multiple-listing services. First American is a provider of real estate and MLS software, and title and property data.
