    Irvin Aerospace Links Into Rocketplane Kistler On NASA Contract


    Santa Ana-based Irvine Aerospace is reporting today that it is teaming up with Rocketplane Kistler, one of the recipients of NASA's recent $500M project to commercialize spaceflight deliveries to the ISS. Irvin Aerospace said it will provide joint development in the area of landing airbag systems. Irvin Aerospace develops parachutes for space and air vehicle recovery. NASA recently announced a major program to commercialize space deliveries to the International Space Station, and tapped El Segundo-based SpaceX and Oklahoma-based Rocketplane Kistler for the program.
