    Apple Buys Silicon Color


    San Diego-based Silicon Color, a provider of color correction software for Apple's Macintosh platform, has been acquired by Apple. According to Silicon Color, the assets of Silicon Color Technology, including its FinalTouch color correction software, was recently sold to Apple. A company representative also confirmed that the firm's software programmers and support personnel will be joining Apple as part of the asset sale. No other details of the acquisition were announced. Silicon Color's software is used by video and film editors to edit high resolution video.
