    Quorum Systems Gets $15M


    San Diego-based Quorum Systems has raised $15M in a third round of funding, the firm announced this morning. The Series C funding round was led by new investor Crescendo Ventures, and also included existing investors Greylock Partners, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers, and Enterprise Partners Venture Capital. Quorum is a manufacturer of ultra-low-power, integrated CMOS radio frequency transceivers used for the wireless market. The firm's components are used for 3G wireless, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE communications.
