Fonality Upgrades Telephony Software

Los Angeles-based Fonality said Thursday that it has upgraded its trixbox IP-PBX software, releasing version 2.0 of the package. The software, which is based on the open source Asterisk IP telephony package, now includes contact management features, monitoring, and a new point and click installation tool. According to Fonality the new version provides increased reliability and stability, user-customization, and support for a wide range of hardware vendors.
