Snap.com Rolls New Web Widgets

Pasadena-based Perfect Market Technologies, which operates the Snap.com search engine, announced a new web service Monday. The firm's new Snap Shots platform includes a renamed version of the company's Snap Preview Anywhere widget, which allows web sites to show previews of web sites before clicking on a link. The new service now includes eight additional services to show text summaries of wiki entries; display stock market information; play video clips and photo albums; play MP3 files; show movie summaries and biographies; and also deliver Reuters headlines. Perfect Market is backed by Idealab and Mayfield Fund.
