Los Angeles Continues To Rank Second In IT Jobs

A recent analysis issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco shows that Los Angeles continues to rank second in the number of IT jobs nationwide. The analysis, part of a look at recent trends in San Francisco Area IT Employment, found that the Bay Area led the nation in terms of IT employment, followed by Los Angeles at second, Washington, D.C. at third, and Boston at fourth. Seattle was ranked fifth in the analysis, which used numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Despite the second place ranking, the analysis found that the share of IT employment in Los Angeles has been dropping, from 8 percent to slightly under 6 percent of the nation's IT jobs.
