QLogic Gets IBM SVC Certification

Aliso Viejo-based QLogic announced this morning that it has certified the firm's enterprise-class Fibre Channel switches with IBM's popular storage virtualization product, IBM SAN Volume Controller. QLogic, which manufactures equipment used to network storage products with servers, said that the certification included its SANbox 9000 Series and SANbox 5600 Fibre Channel switches. IBM's SAN Volume Controller product is used by IT operations to provide "virtual" storage, used for storage consolidation and ease of management.
