Buzznet Hires AOL Music Exec
Hollywood-based Buzznet, an online social networking site focused on music, said Monday that it has hired Scott Boyd, formerly the managing director of AOL Music, as the firm's General Manager of Music. Buzznet said that Boyd will be responsible for all aspects of the firm's music content, production, and programming. Boyd has also previously worked at Rebel Waltz Management and Time Bomb Recordings. Buzznet provides an online social community focused on new music; the firm is venture backed by Anthem Ventures and Redpoint Ventures.
