YouMail Raises $4.5M

Irvine-based customized voice mailbox company YouMail said this morning that it has raised $4.5M in a Series A investment, from VantagePoint Venture Partners. YouMail said that the funding will go towards the firm's product development and marketing initiatives, as well as towards expanding its management and development team. Craig Cooper of VantagePoint will join the firm's board. YouMail develops a free cell phone voice mail service which allows people to customize their greetings for individuals, access voice mail over the web, and other premium features. YouMail had previously raised $1.87M in an angel round from the Tech Coast Angels. More information »
