Big Stage Unveils at CES

Los Angeles-based Big Stage unveiled today at CES, as part of the Intel keynote by Paul Otellini. Big Stage showed its technology, which allows users to create life-like, 3D avatars of themselves into movies, TV shows, video games, and music videos and other video content, as part of a demonstration of technology powered by Intel processors. According to Big Stage, it will officially launch to consumers in Q2 of this year. The unveiling at Intel is the first for the firm, which has been keeping a very stealthy profile -- despite raising funding early last year from Mission Ventures, the Tech Coast Angels, and Selby Ventures. The firm, which was formerly known as Clone Interactive, is a spinout of technology developed at the University of Southern California. Big Stage named Chuck Huebner of Activision as its President and CEO in December.
