Illumina Names VP

San Diego-based Illumina said today that it has appointed Stephen Pentoney as the firm's Vice President of Array Biochemistry. Pentoney will be responsible for Illumina's assay and application development efforts. Pentoney joins Illumnia from Beckman Coulter, having most recently served as Director of Technology Management for Beckman's Molecular Diagnostics Business Center. Illumina develops life science tools and systems.
