Xirrus In Australia Win

Thousand Oaks-based wireless hardware provider Xirrus has scored a customer win in Australia, the firm disclosed this morning. Xirrus said that it has deployed its 802.11abg+n Wi-Fi products at the Catholic Education Office Sandhurst (CEO) in Australia. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed, nor was the size of the install. Xirrus develops equipment which combines Wi-Fi access points with Ethernet switching, which enables better coverage, bandwidth, and performance for wireless connections. Xirrus is venture backed by August Capital, Canaan Partners, QuestMark Partners, and US Venture Partners.
