Nextivity Selected In Ireland

San Diego-based Nextivity, a developer of wireless products for extending indoor cellular service, revealed this morning that the firm has been selected in a deal which is part of Ireland's National Broadband Scheme. Nextivity said it will be deployed by broadband provider 3 as part of a high speed broadband effort in Ireland. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Nextivity's lead produc, its SMART Repeater product, will be used to help support 3G wireless network quality indoors. Nextivity's products are used to extend wireless coverage into indoor locations; the firm is venture backed by Advanced Technology Ventures, Express Ventures, Founders Fund, and Revolution Ventures.
