Teridian Hires VP, GM

Irvine-based Teridian Semiconductor Corp. reported Thursday that it has hired Jay Cormier as vice president and general manager of its Networking & Secure Access business unit. The integrated circuit manufacturer said Cormier will oversee new product development, application support, marketing communications and business unit profitability. He will report to Gerald Fitch, Teridian's president and chief executive officer, the company noted. Prior to joining Teridian, the company said, Cormier was corporate officer and vice president of products and marketing for Sierra Monolithics Inc. He has also held executive roles at Mindspeed Technologies, Analog Devices and Sipex Corp.
