Verimatrix Gains Another Latin American Win

San Diego-based Verimatrix, a provider of digital content security technology and products for pay TV, said this week that the firm has gained another Latin American customer. The firm said that CANTV, which is looking to offer IPTV services in Venezuela, has integrated the firm's VCAS products. CANTV is owned by Venezuela, and is targeting delivering services to 1.26 million IPTV customer in the next six years, according to Verimatrix. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Verimatrix develops software and other technology to make it harder to steal content from set-top boxes.
