Sorenson Media Highlights Hiring Plans

San Diego- and Salt Lake City-based Sorenson Media, which develops video encoding software, said this morning that the firm is expanding its workforce, and hiring on sales, marketing, and engineering talent at its two locations. The firm claimed that its competitors are scaling back and suspending its operations, but that it is hiring. The firm did not say how many people it was looking to hire; the firm has been expanding since opening up a San Diego office and hiring new CEO Peter Csathy back in March.
