Local.com Reports Traffic Numbers

Irvine-based Local.com, which operates a network of local business search sites, reported the firm's traffic numbers today, saying that during Q2, it had 63 million monthly unique visitors on its site and network. The firm claimed that the traffic was up 5% from Q1, and up 32% from the similar quarter in 2008. Local.com's web sites allow users to search for local businesses and services. The firm claimed that organic traffic--traffic being driven to the site through search engines, and not via pay-per-click and other search engine marketing ads--was over 29 million monthly unique visitors.
