Vitesse Board Member Resigns

Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor said late Wednesday that one of the firm's board members, Vincent Chan, has resigned. Reason for the resignation as not given. Chan has been a director on the board of Vitesse since April of 2000. Vitesse CEO Chris Gardner said in a statement that Chan was a "valuable source of knowledge and information" to the firm's board and management team. Chan is a member of MIT's faculty and an expert on optoelectronics and communications.
