Overland Extends Into Business Continuity

San Diego-based Overland Storage, a developer of data backup hardware and software, said earlier this week that it has introduced a new product targeted at the business continuity space. The firm said that it is now shipping an appliance which will provide small and medium sized businesses with continuous local backup and remote disaster recovery. The new product is the first software appliance for the firm, which has traditionally supplied tape libraries, NAS appliances, and RAID storage. The firm said the appliance starts at $24,000.
