Whyville Gets Links On New Dell Laptop

Pasadena-based Whyville, the kids educational virtual world, has scored a deal to be included as a featured desktop icon on a new Dell laptop, Dell disclosed Tuesday afternoon. Dell said it is launching a new laptop along with children's cable network Nickelodeon, called the Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Edition. Among other kid-friendly features of the new laptop, Dell said it will include a desktop "animaticon" which links to educational content from Whyville.net. Whyville features an online world which combines virtual worlds with educational information and topics.
