Cynvenio Biosystems Gets Nearly $2M

Westlake Village-based Cynvenio Biosystems, a developer of high speed, bioseparation instruments for the life sciences market, has raised $1.96M in a Series B funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. Source of the new funding was not disclosed. Cyvenio is headed by Andre De Fusco, former President and CEO of Sabeus. The firm was co-founded by Frederick W. Gluck, former managing partner and CEO of McKinsey & Company; Alan Heeger of NGEN Partners; and Hyongsok (Tom) Soh, a professor at UCSB. De Fusco also headed up Neven Vision, which was acquired by Google, and was President and CEO of ACT Networks. More information »
