Life Technologies Completes Mass Spectrometry Business Sale

Carlsbad-based Life Technologies, a manufacturer of scientific equipment to the life sciences industry, has completed its sale of its mass spectrometry business to Danaher in a deal worth $450M in cash, the firm announced this morning. The sale had originally been announced in September. The deal also included the acquisition by Danaher of Life Technologies' joint venture partner in the business, MDS Analytical Technologies.
