Occam Networks Selected By New York Customer

Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks, a developer of broadband telecom equipment, reported today that it has been selected by Slic Network Solutions for a broadband deployment. The firm said that Slic, which is owned by Nicholville Telephone, is using its BLC 6000 products to deliver broadband to 700 households and 39 businesses in Franklin County, New York. The win is part of a $5.2M, broadband stimulus fiber project. Occam did not say what the size of the deal was worth to the firm. Occam's hardware is used in the buildout of broadband services, particularly for rural telecoms.
