Caldera Medical Gets Grant

Agoura Hills-based Caldera Medical, a developer of medical devices for the gynecology, urology and urogynecology markets, said this week that it has received two grants worth a total of $488,958 from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. According to Caldera, the grants came from the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project (QTDP) program, an effort to provide tax credits and grants to companies in the life sciences area. The firm said the grants will go towards research and development of minimally invasive products designed to treat Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) and Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP).
