Scentsa Gets Series A Funding

Carlsbad-based Scentsa, a developer of an out-of-home advertising network, has scored a Series A funding from San Diego private equity fund Huntington Capital, Huntington said Tuesday. Size of the equity funding deal was not disclosed. According to Huntington, the financing round goes to facilitate the deployment of a network of high definition, LCD media screens for out-of-home advertising at Barnes & Noble College bookstores. The funding by Huntington was led by Tim Bubnack. Scentsa said the deployments will be at campuses nationwide, including at Harvard University, Northwestern University, Texas A&M, Ohio State University, Penn State University, University of Central Florida, and Yale University.
