StarGreetz Launches Celebrity-Powered, Personalized Message Service

Los Angeles-based StarGreetz, a new online service for sending personalized, celebrity video messages and electronic greeting cards, said today that it has launched a service which will allow marketers and consumers to send personalized videos and audio which incorporate a user's name and other information within the message. The firm's consumer service allows users to pick messages and electronic greeting cards from various celebrities, adding such personal information as names, which are incorporated directly into those messages.

The firm is headed by Eric Frankel, the former President of Warner Bros Domestic Television Distribution, and the firm said it is angel backed by such investors as Skip Brittenham, Founder, Ziffren Brittenham LLC; Dick Cook, Former Chairman, Walt Disney Studios; Richard Janssen, Founder, Realtor.com; Joe Roth, Former Chairman, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Studios and Founder of Revolution Studios; Jeff Sagansky, Former President, CBS Television Network, TriStar Pictures; and Ken Ziffren, Founder, Ziffren Brittenham. StarGreetz said it has already sent out messages for The Vampire Diaries, 90210, and American Idol. The startup also offers up custom electronic cards to users from NFL players, DJ Pauly D, and American Idol and Disney characters.
