DTS Powers LG Electronics 3D Smartphone

Calabasas-based DTS, the provider of surround sound and other audio technology, said today that LG Electronics is using its technology in a new smartphone. DTS said its technology has been integrated into the LG Optimus 3D, to provide a 3D audio experience. Financial impact of the win was not announced. The new LG phone also offers up a glasses-free, 3D video experience. DTS and LG have been partners for the last few years, including DTS technology in HDTV, smartphone, and other products from LG.
