Hulu Inks Deal With Univision

Los Angeles-based Hulu is reporting today that it has inked a deal with Univision, to carry "hundreds of hours" of Spanish language novelas and other content to the video streaming site. Financial details of the deal between Hulu and Univision were not announced. Hulu CEO Jason Kilar said that the firm is looking to target the 50 million strong Hispanic population in the United States, the fastest growing community in the United States, with the arrangement. Hulu said it is the first distributor of long form content for the Hispanic community in America. Hulu also said it has now passed over 1 million paid subscribers to the company's premium Hulu Plus service, Kilar said in a quarterly update on the firm's blog. Kilar did not give any updates on Hulu's widely known efforts to sell the company.
