Yowie Powers Town Hall For Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson

Shut out of the Republican party's televised debates, Republic Presidential Candidate and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson has taken his campaign online--using the technology of Santa Monica-based Yowie. Yowie--which develops interactive streaming technology which allows people to conduct video chats with friends and celebrities--said that candidate Johnson will participate in a live, un-moderated online video town hall on November 2nd, at 5pm PT, using its platform. Yowie said the town hall will be the first ever in a series of chats with politicians and pundits. Johnson has been vocally protesting his exclusion from the Republican debates, saying in a letter in his blog last week that he has been "excluded from the conversation" with Republican Candidates--writing that the "Republican National Committee bears some responsibility" for that exclusion. Johnson has been a favorite of the more libertarian parts of the GOP, but has riled some of his party with his support for legalizing medical marijuana and his stand on other social issues. Yowie was founded by Jay and Jamie Snider, Frank Orozco and Carlos Montes. Orozco was formerly Director of Engineering at MySpace, and Carlos Montes was both at MySpace and Imeem.
