MuckerLab Links With Dreamhost

Los Angeles-based startup accelerator MuckerLab, which is headed by Erik Rannala, has tapped Brea-based Dreamhost, the web hosting company, as the "official" web hosting and application hosting provider for the accelerator, the firm is announcing today. According to Dreamhost, all of the startups accepted into MuckerLab's program throughout 2012 will receive one year of free web hosting services from Dreamhost, including fully managed servers. Dreamhost said that it is supporting MuckerLab's efforts, to help support the Southern California region. Dreamhost has been in the area since it was founded in 1997. Dreahost has over 300,000 customers, and hosts 1.2 million domain names. MuckerLab's Rannala was previously a venture capitalist at Harrison Metal Partners in Silicon Valley, and moved to Los Angeles to establish MuckerLab. The accelerator is investing up to $21,000 in startups, providing a three month mentorship program, and has a long list of notable CEOs and entrepreneurs signed as mentors.
