Urban Remedy Raises $1M From Science Inc.

Urban Remedy, a new startup focused on delivering healthy juices, meal replacements, and snacks to consumers, has raised $1M in a funding round, the firm said today. The startup said the funding came from Santa Monica-based Science Inc., the technology studio run by former MySpace CEO Michael Jones, and also includes a number of angel investors from the beverage industry. Urban Remedy was founded by Neka Pasquale, and offers up weekly deliveries of juices to help "cleanse" users, including many raw, organic fruits, and vegetables.
