Amgen Names New Board Member

Thousand Oaks-based biopharmaceuticals developer Amgen said yesterday that it has named Greg C. Garland to its board of directors. Garland is Chairman, President, and CEO of Phillips 66. The company said that Garland will also serve on its Governance and Nominating Committee and the Audit Committee of its board. The new appointment brings Amgen's board to thirteen members. Garland also has served at COnocoPhillips and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
