DriveCam Rebrands Itself Lytx

San Diego-based DriveCam has renamed itself as Lytx, as the company said it has evolved the company and vision beyond just devices. The company said that expansion includes a new compliance service, which helps fleets comply with safety regulations, in addition to the company's devices used to monitor driver behavior and safety. Lytx is led by Brandon Nixon. Lytx said it now has more than 250 employees, most of then in San Diego. DriveCa is backed by Chopra Ventures, Insight Venture Partners, Integral Capital Partners, JMI Equity, Leader Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Tech Coast Angels, Triangle Peak Partners, Volvo Group, and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.
