Glip Aims at Students, Educators With Free Plan

Los Angeles-based startup Glip, a developer of team productivity tools and software, said this morning that it is making its service free for students and educators. According to Glip, any individual with a .edu email address can sign up for free to use its team communications and collaboration service. Glip normally charges per user for its service. Glip's service lets users share documents, share and manage tasks, keep shared calendars, and collaborate through text and video group chat. The company launched in October, and is led by Peter Pezaris.
