Chideo Combines Celebrities, Video, Charity

Los Angeles-based Chideo, a new startup that is looking to help raise money for charities, launched today, saying that it has come up with a way that celebrities can connect with fans and help raise money for charity. The startup, which says it was founded by Todd Wagner, lets celebrities generate exclusive videos on the platform, and allows fans to vote on the kinds of video they'd like to see a celebrity create. Videos can only be watched by users who donate money to the charity. The startup has some notable celebrities participating in the venture: President Bill Clinton, Dan Rather, country star Clint Black, former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice, singer Michael Bolton, Linkin Park, KISS, and many, many others.
