ALL DEF DIGITAL Finds $5M For Content

Culver City-based ALL DEF DIGITAL, a startup which says it will be delivering comedy, music, news, poetry and innovative artistry to consumers, has raised $5M in a funding round, the company said late Wednesday. The SEries A funding was led by Greycroft Partners, and also included Advancit Capital, Nu Horizons Investments and e.ventures. As part of the funding, Greycroft's Mark Terbeek joins the company's board of directors. ALL DEF DIGITAL is led by Sanjay Sharma, and was co-founded by Russell Simmons. ALL DEF DIGITAL said it is developing original programming in comedy, music, news and poetry, including developing original, online series; the company has its own YouTube channel as well as runs a music channel called ADD52, which was created for Samsung.
