MaxLinear Completes Physpeed Buy

Carslbad-based a href="http://www.maxlinear.com">MaxLinear, the developer of radio frequency and mixed signal integrated ircuits, reported late Tuesday that it has completed its acquisition of Physpeed Co., Ltd., which develops high speed physical layer interconnects. MaxLinear said it will pay approximately $11.0M in cash for Physpeed, plus up to $750,000 in earnout. MaxLinear also said it will offer up to $3.25M in cash or shares in retention and performance-based agreements with Physpeed's employees, based on 2015 and 2016 revenue milestones. Physpeed was based in Camarillo.
